OriFabric is a drop-in workshop as part of 'Shaping Your Area', a community reshaping project, led by Fang-Jui Chang.

 

The workshop is a preliminary level for learning to pleat. After the workshop, attendants know the basic principles of pleating.

Participants do not need to book in advance. They just come and pick a pattern which is provided to start to fold. Then they choose a piece of polyester fabric and place it in between the folded kraft paper. After tightening the paper mould, we send the piece to the steamer for 15 minutes. Finally, open the would when it cool down to room temperature.

 

The whole process is about 30 minutes and is suitable for all age range.
